Green Day

During after school activity time at Miyakojima High School today, I happened to come across a room above the art room (which is used for calligraphy class during the day) where a group of boys were practicing with their band. Upon entering they stopped playing, but with some encouragement they continued and played a Green Day song. They were rockin’! This was another example of a commonality that exists cross culturally, the power of a well-played guitar.
